Post-It Reaction: The State Of The Nation Address 2018

The president has released another bombardment of statements in the form of the SONA, The State of The Nation Address. Once again, I am here to share my thoughts and opinions on what our dear president has said during the said event. There are a lot of good points that he has said and I would just like to give a reaction.

The biggest statement that he has said that everyone is talking about is "Your concern is human rights, my concern is human lives." Now, what he said was right and wrong. Right in the sense that he actually cares about human lives but wrong in the sense that he doesn't care about human rights. He needs to focus on these both, as him actually not giving a damn about human rights is actually damaging his and the country's reputation. The most ear-catching moment was when I heard that he wants to create a new department, called the Department of Disaster Management, which is for me, an amazing idea. Think of this, a department that actuallt helps out in the management of disasters, genius! Our country is a disaster-prone country and it's great that the president has actually thought of this idea. I hope it gets fulfilled soon.

Then, he mentions the same old stuff that he promises to do, like the eradication of drugs, the stoppage of corruption and red tape, the stoppage of contractualizaton (which is very good) and all the other good stuff. We already know these things, but I just wish that he can actually pull these off.

Some of the old presidents of the country actually considered this SONA to be inadequate. They expected more from him. I think he did a great job in addressing the State of our country, and I don't think that it's half-assed or anything. It was a great SONA.

Overall, this was pretty solid. It was chop suey, very mixed but it still was on point. I hope that all of what he said will come true, as these will be for the betterment of our country.

Joash Ethan Berona Don Lorenzo Querobin Caoayan, Ilocos Sur 2702 President Rodrigo Roa Duterte Office of The President Mr President,               Greetings sir, in the name of the Lord! I am a student, writing you a letter to say thank you. The past years of you being the President of this country has been a tremendous help to us. You have controlled and fixed a lot of major problems and situations and I commend you for that.        You are one of the people in my life that I look up to. You are such an inspiration to us and one day, I hope to be like you someday. Though you have a lot of bad traits, you have a lot of good ones too. I commend you for the things that you have done for us and though a lot of people hate what you are doing, I support it, because I think that what you are doing for the sake of us will be a benefit to the country. You have provided as a shield, per say, for us to be protected...

Dreams Maketh Futures

Dreams. These are the things we hope to achieve, the person as we hope to become. These dreams of ours are what drive us to achieve what we want in life. Dreams are kinda like the schematics, the paths, the guides that can make our futures brighter. Your dreams can make your future. Our dreams can guide us into making our futures a successful and a wonderful one. Let's say that you want be a doctor. You're dreaming of being a doctor, so you're gonna do your best to be a doctor. You're gonna try to get high grades and to be excellent in school, just so that you can be a doctor. You're gonna do everything it takes to be a doctor, and you're not gonna give up until you reach your dream. See what I mean? Your dreams can make your future. Think about this. Dreaming is already similar to planning to your future. You're already planning what you want to be, when you want to be that, why you want to be that. Like I've stated earlier, dreams are your blueprin...

Insights on Kannawidan 2019 ; Yay or Nay?

It's that time of the year again, where we celebrate the separation of Ilocos Sur and Norte by being merry for the whole festival. This is my insight, on Kannawidan 2019. Kannawidan was super jam-packed this year. I normally don't have an interest IN Kannawidan, but this year's festivities were too good not to miss. Star-studded guests performed, new activities emerge and memorable moments were made. Clearly, they've cranked up the production level up by bringing big names to the table; December Avenue and Unique Salonga, just to name  a few. The quality of events have gotten way higher and way more enjoyable. Tourists and people from other parts of the country even came to see what Kannawidan was all about, and judging by their faces and reactions, they had an amazing time. Props to the Governor and everyone who organized this huge festival. Overall, Kannawidan was a great success this year. This year's Kannawidan was a BIG YAY! Perfect events, perfect star g...
